Compare the two aquamarine ring designs in this photograph
The supplied on-hand photograph shows two pale blue aquamarine ring designs, with different stone outlines and surrounding settings. It is a useful reference for explaining the overall look you prefer when a ring is worn.
Begin by identifying the upper or lower ring in the photograph, or send a marked-up copy of the image. Then tell us which features matter to you: the outline, the proportions of the center stone, the surrounding accents or the band. The photograph is a design reference for a custom project; your dimensions, metal and stone specifications are confirmed separately.
Which design details should you specify?
| Design detail | What to tell us |
|---|---|
| Preferred reference | Identify the upper or lower ring in the supplied photo, or provide a marked-up image showing the details you prefer. |
| Center stone | Material requirements, preferred color, shape and length, width and depth where known. |
| Setting and accents | The surrounding details, proportions and setting features you would like to keep or change. |
| Metal and ring size | Your metal requirements, including 18K gold if preferred, ring size and sizing system. |
| Order brief | Quantity, budget, destination and any preferred completion date. |
How can you explain the size and appearance you want?
Share actual measurements if you have them. If you are still deciding, describe the proportions you want and send any additional reference image or sketch. The on-hand photograph can help communicate a visual preference, while a quotation requires the dimensions and materials for your own project.
For a design with a particular stone outline or fit, include a drawing of the stone and setting. Our custom-cut gemstone guide explains how to prepare a cutting brief. Loose-stone quantities and processing schedules are quoted separately.
Can a new brand start with one ring?
Finished custom jewelry starts from one piece. The two designs in the photograph are references; you can discuss one finished ring for your first project. If you are planning a collection, identify the first design to develop and the other sizes or variations you may want to review later.
Our small-batch jewelry guide explains how a new brand, jewelry store or online seller can prepare a first-piece brief. Additional designs and later quantities are reviewed individually.
What happens after you send your reference?
- Review the brief. Discuss the selected design, stone, metal, dimensions, quantity and budget.
- Confirm the proposal. Review the drawing and modeling requirements before production.
- Develop and inspect the ring. Complete the agreed modeling, model making, casting, setting, finishing and inspection process.
We’ll work to complete your custom piece as soon as possible and confirm the timeline with you before production. Timing depends on the design, materials and manufacturing requirements. Complex designs may take longer; shipping time is additional.
