OEM or ODM for your first jewelry collection?
Choose OEM manufacturing if you already have a design and want to agree how it will be made. Choose ODM design development if you need our team to develop a finished gemstone jewelry proposal from your references, customer brief and budget. Both routes begin with a review of the design, materials, dimensions and quantity.
You can start with one finished custom piece. Treat that first piece as a design and workmanship reference for your business. List possible later quantities separately; their specifications, material availability, pricing and schedule are reviewed before another order is agreed.
What should a new brand confirm before starting?
Confirm the proposed design, gemstone and metal, finished measurements, included development and manufacturing stages, quotation and completion schedule. Ask about any undecided detail before approving production. A reference photograph does not establish a fixed price, stock availability or the terms for a later collection.
Start your jewelry business with one finished piece
A new collection often begins with a single design. Only You works with new brands, independent designers, jewelry stores and online sellers to develop custom colored gemstone jewelry from one piece. Our team is based in Daluotang, Panyu, Guangzhou, China, bringing jewelry design, gemstone processing and setting together for your project.
Start with the piece you want to review first, rather than a full collection brief. Our current jewelry work includes 18K gold gemstone rings and lab-grown emerald jewelry. Tell us which product and customer group you have in mind.
What should a small brand prepare?
- One clear design direction: a reference photograph, sketch, CAD drawing or STL file.
- Your preferred materials: gemstone type, natural or lab-grown material, stone dimensions and metal.
- The size and quantity: ring size or other jewelry dimensions, the first piece you need and the quantities you may want to discuss later.
- A working budget and destination: these help our team review a suitable proposal.
If you are still choosing details, explain the decisions you need help with. We review the design and materials before confirming what can be made and quoted. A reference photo gives us a starting point; it does not establish the final specifications.
Review the first piece before planning a wider collection
- Define the first design. Choose the product, main gemstone, metal and size requirements.
- Review the proposal. Discuss the design development, materials and quotation before production.
- Develop the finished piece. The process includes modeling, model making, casting, stone setting, finishing and final inspection as required by the design.
- Discuss the next order. Use your review of the first piece to explain any changes, additional sizes, quantities or designs.
One piece is the starting quantity for finished custom jewelry. Prices, material availability and schedules for later orders are reviewed separately. Do not assume that a first-piece quotation covers every size or variation in a future collection.
What should you review before a later order?
Review the first piece against the agreed brief: finished size, stone appearance, setting, surface finish and any fastening details. Record the changes you want to discuss with our team. Identify each additional size or variation separately so the next quotation reflects the actual scope.
A later order is reviewed with its own quantity, materials and timing. Keep a clear design reference and a written list of approved specifications to help explain what should stay consistent and what needs to change.
How much time should you allow?
We’ll work to complete your custom piece as soon as possible and confirm the timeline with you before production. Timing depends on the design, materials and manufacturing requirements. Complex designs may take longer; shipping time is additional.
Choose the right starting point for your business
New brands and online sellers: send your first product idea and the specifications you already know. Jewelry stores: send the customer brief, required size and material preferences. Designers: share your drawing or model and explain which details are fixed and which are open for review.
If you already have technical files, our CAD and sketch customization guide explains what to send. Loose-stone work has its own quantity and schedule review through our gemstone cutting service.
